I've already bought a katana from Eroton for the third time, and each time has been super satisfying. Especially this blue sword, the engravings on the blade are so detailed. They seem to have upgraded their gift packaging, which made me look extra classy when giving it as a gift to a friend who's about to move. If you need to give a gift to a friend or loved one, I highly recommend this Eroton katana company.
While I did not disassemble the handle to visually very that it's a true full tang blade, the weight alone tells me that it's tip to butt solid.
The overall impression I have is that it is a quality piece, especially for the price. I cannot imagine a situation where it would be needed for combat, but I do believe it could do some serious damage if properly wielded. I'll stick to my bokken for training purposes, but it is still a great display and conversational piece nonetheless. 5 stars!
To my surprise, the blade was actually sharp! I suppose you could sharpen it further, but for the average user, I think it's fine as-is.
As noted, this sword doesn't come with a stand, so that's something you'll want to invest in if you plan on displaying this. It does, however, come with the scabbard, which is glossy and looks nice.
The wrapped handle is very comfortable as well, making it enjoyable to hold the sword. The sword is a bit heavier than I expected, but I would say this is actually a good thing. It's not heavy, per se, just weighty.
Would this hold up in an actual combat situation? Most likely not, but I think you'd have a better chance with this than you would with one of the other swords (such as the replica SAO models).
In summary, if you like swords but aren't sure which one to get, I'd personally recommend this one!
When I first drew the sword from the scabbard I was thinking for a moment that I should be dressed in white.
The edge of the sword it quite keen so be careful. If you want to learn how to properly draw a Katana from the scabbard there are some good teaching videos on the internet. Be careful and mindful that the sword blade is very sharp. Don't forget the proper procedure and steps for drawing the Katana and also for safely placing it back in the scabbard.
The sword is the real thing. It is not a plaything so therefore,keep the children away. This is strictly an Item to be enjoyed by mature adults that can respect the traditions and awesome, fearsome power of a properly wielded defensive blade.
This sword is not for everyone. But if you are serious about getting an authentic Katana for display or serious adult training this is the ticket. I am well pleased.

A great value in a well made sword. and a nice item for a collection. These swords are made for a specific purpose. You must respect that and keep the sword away from younger children. Avoid tragedy.

This sword rocks. I am very pleased with the workmanship, and the superiority of the blade.
I actually have a couple of swords from this maker already, they seem to all be the same quality, but with different hand guards and paint jobs. Of course there are better swords on the market, but you will also have to pay a lot more for one. This is a great price for a sword that is expected to be used, not just as a wall decoration.
They come sharp, most sharp enough to shave with. They are sturdy, with no wiggle in the blade, handle or guard. The blade comes with a fuller on about 95% of it.
Out of all of my swords though, this one is actually one of my favorites, mainly because it is all black even the blade, and it's not painted it's more like stained or blued.
The wrap is as nice as can be expected, but can easily be redone with leather at home. Not needed but really makes it look like a more expensive sword.
Overall these are great swords, at a great price. If you are an enthusiast, collector, or just amateur Ninja these are perfect. Highly recommended.
The look of it is just flat out AWESOME! Even down to the blade which is dark colored.
You can see from my pics the workmanship and detail put into the handle (Tsuka) and the Guard (Tsuba) is very nicely ornate.
The hanging cord (Sageo) is also top notch. They spared no expense in the detail behind this sword.

Construction is done extremely well especially with the attention to detail. Even in places not easy to see, they have still done a great job finishing this to top tier perfection. The sheath is made of a solid but light wood and nothing fragile. The handle is extremely solid and well built with the Sageo (braided cord) being made of high end cotton or some type of perfect fabric. Its not made cheaply or without pride, I can tell this. The blade is all black and I love this because it gives this sword an almost cloaking style. Kinda hard to explain but its great. There is no plastic pieces on this sword or sheath and definetly not cheap parts. By far one of my most favorite swords I highly recommend.

Craftsmanship— it is beautiful. The blue is a very nice color, it doesn’t pop out as expected in the advertised picture but still looks really really good. The skulls around the guard looks cool. So intruders will fear my nine strike deadly skull crusher combo.
And to answer your question no. In a world of guns, tanks, and nukes. I would say this does very bad in battle. But if for whatever reason the Chinese army attacks my apartment, i will be certain this can take a balloon or two.

It is a through-hardened blade, so I think it can take a certain amount of abuse. I tried to chop and stab some cardboard boxes and it went very well...seems that I do not have to worry about bad cutting alignment.
